Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire!

Jared got TOTALLY busted this past Wednesday: His teacher emailed me to reschedule our parent/teacher conference that had been canceled last week due to no power (after the wind storms). As it happened, Jared had told me she was out sick on Wednesday---which is why he hadn't gotten a sticker for his good behavior.

I have been rewarding him at home when he earns a sticker at school and he wanted to get his surprise! As it turns out, he pulled this same stunt last Tuesday & Wednesday, too.

Pretty clever, that little boy. Needless to say, he won't be dipping into that pot twice (or a fourth time, I should say!).

Talk on the phone too much?

So, you talk on the phone too much?? I discovered a sure-fire solution to this problem...a solution that only a mother could appreciate.

I was changing Madison's poopy diaper and let her play with the phone for a distraction. Yep, you guessed it! She chucked the phone and it landed face down in the dirty diaper. One diaper wipe and lots of Lysol later, I'm still not sure I'll be able to use that handset again....at least for a day or two. :)

Happy birthday!

Happy birthday, dear and faithful blog! Yes, www.stjembrown.blogspot.com will be 3 years old later this month (on the 17th to be exact).

I'm sooooo happy I decided to copy Edan and start a blog. If it weren't for blogging, I would have forgotten so much stuff!

Winter Wonderland

We took the kids out for some fun in the snow. We ended up with about 6-7 inches on top of a 3/4" layer of ice, which was on top of 1-2 inches. It was hard to measure since the ice was sandwiched in there.....It is finally melting away and we are now able to see the grass once more.
Yes, that's me! I was out there throwing snowballs...hence the gloves. And yes, I know, no coat!

My little boy was a bit chilly, to say the least! He got pelted in the head/face with lots of snow, which didn't help him keep warm!

Um...too cute!
(and she knows it)
