Snyder Visit - Day Five, Friday

We spent the better part of the day visiting the Longaberger basket factory. After a little play time :) James & Charity got to make their own basket. We fed the kids and then went to watch--we got there just in time for Jared to get to use a hammer!

While I was fixing supper, Charity painted with the kids. This was Evie's first time to paint. She rather enjoyed herself, as you can see from the pics.

Snyder Visit - Day Four, Thursday

While Jared was at summer camp today, Scott & James managed to sand a few cabinet doors. Meanwhile, Charity and I switched furniture in Evie's and Madison's rooms. Evie now has a big girl room---it's currently my favorite room in the house. We still have a few things to hang and some work to do, but it's mostly done. Yay!!

Almost forgot to mention the afternoon's activity---a trip to the Graeter's Ice Cream Store where they make the incredible ice cream. I feel guilty admitting this, but between the four of us, we purchased 15 pints of ice cream during the Snyder's visit. NO, I didn't say we ate it all....the Browns were left with 7 half-eaten pints in the freezer. :)

Snyder Visit - Day Three, Wednesday

No pictures for today.....We all went to see Ratatouille (cute, but not as funny as the critics think!). Before heading to the movies, we had lunch at City BBQ. I like to eat at City BBQ, but it makes me miss Rudy's like crazy.

Snyder Visit - Day Two, Tuesday

To say we were busy on July 3rd would be the understatement of the year! We dropped Jared off at summer camp and we spent the time shopping. After camp, we all (minus Scott) went to the Conservatory and saw the butterflies. The kids had a great time. We came home for dinner w/Scott and then headed to Build-a-Bear so Evie could make Madison a bunny. The night came to an end with us watching fireworks downtown (yes, here they do it on the 3rd).

The world's cutest butterfly!

The second we walked in to Build-a-Bear, Evie was itching to get out of the stroller. There were too many choices to pick from. We "encouraged" her to make a bunny.

Evie did not want to step on the pedal.

Snyder Visit - Day One, Monday

We spent the first morning at the zoo. Afterward, we met Scott for lunch at home. It was James & Charity's 2nd wedding anniversary.

We can't go anywhere without going over a few ground rules first!

Jared got to pet a Children's Python (named for the discoverer, not its size or disposition!).

James & Charity Arrived!!

Evie was shocked to see them on Monday morning. Jared responded as expected---- he tried to hide!

Visitors from Michigan

I only have 2 pictures to go with this post (hopefully, Renee will send some pics and I can add a few!)....Our friends Todd, Renee and Alex visited us a couple of weekends ago. We hadn't seen them in 4 years...since we left Moscow in June 2003. They drove down and stayed for a weekend. The kids had a great time swimming at the hotel's pool. We spent one day at the zoo and the second day downtown checking out the Capitol and a few sites.

A face lift at age 27??

Yep, born in 1980 (the table, not Scott), we felt it was time to give the kitchen table a new look! :) I thought Mom & Dad would appreciate seeing the old family kitchen table is still being used.

Arriving in Texas

This was taken just after we arrived and took over the Snyder home!

Visit to Granny & Poppy's

We took a few days out of our trip to Austin to visit Granny & Poppy! It was hard, to say the least, to get a picture of two squiggly kids and their grandparents! :)

Visit to the Snyder's!

We had the greatest time in Texas......mostly in part to our hosts, James & Charity. Charity took the following pics and I wanted to share them with you!

Evie tried on Sarah's shoes after church!
(Sarah was one of the flower girls in the wedding we all attended)

All Mommy wants to know is "Where are your glasses??"

I don't think Evie could be cuter than she is in this picture!
I just love her flippy hair.

Evie & Grace

"Here's my tummy."

We took Jared to paint pottery at Ceramic Cellar.
He enjoyed picking out LOTS of paint!

Today's art piece was a puppy. It turned out sooo cute!

I painted a green piggy bank for Evie's room.

Evie loved the water and had NO fear.
I wish she'd had just a little bit of fear!

Check out Evie's hiney.... this is what happens
when you wear a regular diaper to the pool! :)

Just before we left.....nobody is supposed to look wide awake at 4:45 a.m.
