After a string of less-than-stellar days with my sweet son, I am happy to report we are having a gold star day!! The following conversation took place just a few minutes ago:
Jared: Mommy, are you still my friend?
Mom: No, Jared. I'm your Mommy.
Jared: Well, you're nice to me and you play with me. You're my friend.
Mom: You're right, Jared. I'm your friend AND your Mommy.
Yay!! :-)
